magaganda naman yong mga stories na napipili ng mga editors eh...
diskarte na yan ng mga editors or the owners ng phr....
kasi negosyo yan eh...
parang some kinda promotion yan...
syempre dahil may tatak na readers choice, bibilhin yan ng ng consumers, lalong lalo na sa mga consumers na di stick to one author.......

| hmmm, parang...nagre-react kayo ng ganyan kasi...hindi nakakasama sa mga readers choice ang mga fave author ninyo?
wala lang. opinyo lang. sa tingin ko kasi, di sa lahat ng pagkakataon kailangng pagbigyan ang hiling ng nakakarami since sabi nga, nasa artistic quality ng isang novel kaya siya nagagawang 'Readers Choice'. and that doesnt necessarily means na drama or comedy ang isang novel, o maganda ang story. artistic. ung pagkakagawa ng nobela ang tinitingnan ng mga editors bago nila iyon aprubahan. if im not mistaken...peace out! |

uy...caleb...f you dont mind...define 'corny'....mahina ako sa vocabulary...weehhhh!!!!! pero...da way i understand corny...my nabasa ako nyan eh...d ko lng ma-recall perfectly ung story at m not sure kung cnong writer at kung saang publishing house...basta corny/baduy ung mga one-liner nya para sakin...kaz pilit eh....pati ba namn atm machine bugbugin? eh sya ung walang pera tapos e-xpect nyang my lalabas na pera sa machine?...ano un..magic? okay lng sana kung nsa Love and Magic ung kwento..hihihihi...kumbaga naging imposible na ung situation
meron pa dn minsan...kaz ung personality na pino-project ng character ay 'edukada'...tapos nong minsang bumili sa isang store at walng available na ganun sa gusto nya...nagwala sya at ung saleslady pa ung idiniin...eh nag-suggest lng naman na kung gusto nya ung nxt size lng ung bilhin? diba napakunreasonable namn non...? dapat i-consider din ng mga writers ung situation...
un lng ang naalala ko sa salitang CORNY...

uy...gets ko din yan caleb....and m telling you m trying to be objective here...pero d pa rin ako tatahimik na lng regarding dat 'readers' choice issue....ikaw na din ang nagsabi na dis s business...and business s nothing with out da customer...agen bow ako sa sinabi mong "parang promotion' din ito....but hey....kung tingnan mo sa ganitong anggulo...lalabas na pinangungunahan nla ung customer which means parang my 'panlilinlang'( m sori for the word...wala nako maisip na iba) na mangyayari...? m not saying na ganun nga ang motive nla katulad ng assumption mo....pero da way i see the situation...parang ganun po ang labas...agen...f you wanna hear my suggestion...palitan na lng ng 'editors' choice' nstead ng readers'choice kung wala naman talagang say ung readers na bumibili...OR survey s stil the most appropriate way to know the result. Let the CUSTOMERS decide...pls...nang sa ganun, tanggap ng lahat.... |

| i have actually read Cassandra's novel... it's quite good. It's not really my ype of story, it's a bit on the serious/melodramatic, oang-teleserye side but its well written and okay yung twists ng story. so, congrats!
as for the "reader's choice" issue...i agree that real readers, and not just editors, should have a part on it. too. maybe PHR can pick a panel from real readers, aka, members of this forum who will review the books. and they're chosen based on maybe, an essay they would submit on why they should be part of the reading panel. dapat yung reaer, hindi blinded ng pagiging fan o friend nya ng isang writer. dapat fan talaga sya ng PHR novels. at may sarili syang idea kung ano sa tingin nya ang maganda.
this panel could read, say, 3 -5 books and they will rate each book on say, a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being teh highest)
thsi procedure seems like a lot of work. suggestion lang naman, kung sa tingin ng mga taga-PHR ay posible ito, then go!
